	Strategies for the future - Informing the work of the ISCs The future priorities for Australian workforce development were discussed at a meeting in Canberra on 1st June 2010. Board Members and Chief Executives of Industry Skills Councils along with Board Members from Skills Australia and State Training Board Chairs met to discuss future priorities for the work of the Skills Councils based on the need for sustainable economic growth across the nation. The Forum received a number of presentations including a major report commissioned by 10 ISCs on International approaches to green skills and sustainability as well as leading speakers and presentations from Per Capita, an independent Australian Think Tank, Dr John Buchanan (University of Sydney), Professor David Finegold (Rutgers University, USA) and Philip Bullock (Skills Australia).
